White Tail Automation, in conjunction with Victory Compression and Power, is seeking a skilled Intermediate Compressor Mechanic to join our operations team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing natural gas compressors and related equipment. This role is well-suited for someone who is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and ready to contribute to reliable field operations in a fast-paced environment. What You Will Be Doing: Compressor Maintenance & Repair Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on reciprocating and rotary screw compressors. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues affecting compressor performance. Conduct rebuilds on engines, frames, cylinders, valves, and other mechanical components. Inspect and service compressor engines, coolers, filters, lubrication systems, and fuel systems. Assist with major overhauls under the direction of senior mechanics. Operations Support Monitor compressor performance and operating parameters to identify irregularities. Start up, shut down, and operate equipment during maintenance or troubleshooting. Support pipeline, facility, and production teams in maintaining optimal compression levels. Maintain accurate service records, logs, and documentation. Safety & Compliance Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, DOT, etc.). Participate in hazard identification, JSA completion, and tailgate safety meetings. Ensure proper lockout/tagout and safe work practices during all maintenance activities. Technical & Administrative Use maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders and complete service reports. Communicate effectively with supervisors, operations teams, and third-party vendors. Assist in ordering parts and inventory management for compressor-related components.
