The Intermediate Applications Analyst (Epic Security) at JPS Health Network plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the functionality of assigned applications within the healthcare system. This position requires a deep understanding of the application’s capabilities and the ability to integrate this knowledge with IT expertise to improve workflows. The analyst will be responsible for the design, build, testing, validation, implementation, and ongoing support of the assigned applications, while also mentoring junior analysts. In this role, the analyst will analyze and complete service requests, providing application support by performing workflow assessments and capturing business needs. They will conduct business requirements reviews, formulate logical statements of business requirements, and configure moderately complex components based on these functional requirements. The analyst will apply their functional knowledge to design and customize workflow systems that ensure seamless integration for client/server applications. Additionally, the analyst will write functional requirements, develop test plans, and address production issues. They will follow project and software development methodologies, providing support to operations and development activities, including off-hours support. Ongoing responsibilities include resolving application system incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and planning system upgrades to meet evolving business and clinical requirements. The analyst will also be involved in security and authorization setup, user documentation, data interface design, and data migration. This position emphasizes teamwork, requiring the analyst to foster a supportive work environment by demonstrating trust and commitment to colleagues.
