About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Intermediate Accountant with 2-5 years of accounting experience to support day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of general accounting principles, is comfortable working independently, and thrives in a deadline-driven environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 2-5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Experience with general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to details
• Analytical problem-solving ability
• Ability to work well under pressure and within short deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience with accounting software (Sage, Kova, Microsoft Dynamics)
• Experience in home building

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain job cost entries, including direct cost and closing entries
• Prepare general ledger entries and account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
• Assist with variance analysis
• Maintain various schedule and monthly/quarterly reporting to home office
• Support audits and provide documentation as required
• Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data and communicates financial information to department heads & product line managers
• Ensure all deadlines are met in accordance with the closing dates set by management
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and procedures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues
• Backup accounts payable when needed
