We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Interiors Technical Designer/Job Captain to join our team. This role is responsible for managing the technical development, coordination, and documentation of projects from design development through construction administration. The ideal candidate will collaborate with project teams, consultants, and clients to ensure successful project execution while maintaining design integrity, technical accuracy, and compliance with building codes and firm standards.

  • Generate construction documents in coordination with mechanical, building systems, codes and ADA requirements.
  • Be the main point of contact in the construction administration phase.
  • Attend project site meetings and write field observation reports, RFI responses.
  • Conduct shop drawing reviews.
  • Coordinate the work of consultants including MEP, Acoustics, Structural and AV.
  • Attend meetings to ascertain the technical requirements to be incorporated in the construction documents.
  • Actively lead a project with periodic supervision.
  • Produce, coordinate and/or oversee presentation and contract deliverables such as diagrams, 3D Models, drawings etc.
  • Effectively & actively collaborate both internally and externally with consultants and clients.
  • Integrate interdisciplinary criteria to effectively move forward the design of distinct portions of large projects or entire projects of a small scale.
  • Demonstrate an advanced understanding of building materials, systems, specifications etc.
  • Manage time and workload of own work efforts and those of others.
  • Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
  • Professional licensure process is close to completion; LEED accreditation strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience or equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities in corporate interiors.
  • Construction Documents and detailing experience.
  • Construction Administration and site experience interacting with contractors.
  • Familiarity with building codes.
  • Knowledge of building systems used for interior construction.
  • Advanced Revit experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
