About The Position

We’re looking for a Interior Designer to join our dynamic team in our Orlando, Florida office to work on projects such as manufacturing, education, commercial, etc. The position is hybrid but remote may be considered for strong candidates. Requirements

  • Four-year degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 6 years professional experience within the Interior Design / Architectural realm.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without Sponsorship.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), Adobe (Photoshop and InDesign), Sketch-Up, and Enscape.
  • Meet qualifications for taking the NCIDQ exam.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in design direction and strategy.
  • Develop functional requirements and project-design criteria for a wide variety of building types and design complexities.
  • Direct work efforts of others and develop detailed design concepts.
  • Produce contract documents and interpret ordinances.
  • Communicate client needs and work directly with clients on projects of any size.
  • Tackle complex space planning challenges, optimizing functionality and flow.
  • Integrate sustainable design principles and practices into projects.
  • Identify and mitigate potential project risks.
  • Recruit, train, and build a cohesive design team.
  • Contribute to business development efforts by networking and preparing proposals.
  • Serve as prime contact of firm with clients, consultants, and public agencies.
  • Prepare and conduct client interviews.
  • Initiate preparation of FF&E and Equipment List.
  • Prepare Schematics, Block & Stacking Plans, and Space Planning.
  • Develop FF&E Specifications and prepare a complete set of Construction Documents.
  • Ensure technical implementations of design concepts during construction.
  • Ensure code compliance as it relates to ADA and Life Safety.
  • Prepare reports and specifications.
  • Coordinate all applicable project discipline’s drawings.
  • Establish and monitor outside consultants.
  • Produce designs into routine final drawings using CAD software.
  • Prepare digital presentations inclusive of physical material palettes.
  • Review, monitor, and report progress on construction sites.
  • Assist client in selection & procurement of furniture.
  • Maintain and monitor project profitability.
  • Assist in development of project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Encourage continuing education efforts among team.
  • Participate in marketing efforts and client presentations.
  • Maintain client relationships and develop new revenues.
