The Opportunity: We are seeking an Intermediate Interior Designer with strong design skills and experience working on senior living interiors projects. The ideal candidate is passionate about design, detail-oriented, and excited to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver innovative solutions. As part of a global firm with a single profit center, this role provides opportunities for career growth and professional development through exposure to a variety of projects and client types. Travel across the U.S. may also be part of the position, offering exposure to a broad range of design challenges and experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or masters degree in interior design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in interior design, with a focus on senior living, hospitality, or residential practice areas.
  • Strong design and conceptual thinking skills with a portfolio showcasing innovative and well-executed projects.
  • Proficiency in design software, including Revit, Enscape, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Affinity, and rendering tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly to clients and team members.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of building codes, materials, and construction methods.
  • LEED accreditation or progress toward licensure
  • NCIDQ certification or progress towards certification.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project teams to develop creative interior design concepts for senior living interior projects.
  • Participate in all project phases, from conceptual design through construction administration, ensuring design integrity and quality.
  • Produce detailed drawings, presentations, and renderings to communicate design concepts effectively.
  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure design solutions are executed accurately and meet client expectations.
  • Assist in selecting materials, finishes, furnishings, and equipment that align with the design vision and project requirements.
  • Conduct research and stay current with industry trends, innovations, and best practices in workplace and commercial interiors.
  • Support project documentation, including construction documents, specifications, and schedules.
  • Lead client meetings and presentations, providing design insight and recommendations.
  • Mentors and supports team members, providing guidance on design development, technical documentation, and professional best practices to strengthen overall team performance.
  • Travel as needed to support project installations and site visits across the U.S.
