As an Interior Designer I , you will: Provide assistance throughout the interior design process under routine guidance; contributes to the overall success of the team by adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in interior design, execution, and living design. Begin to understand the architectural design process and integration of interior design concepts. Participate in preparing contract documents, including but not limited to floor plans and details, reflected ceiling plans, millwork design, furniture layouts, finish plans, and schedules. Assist in creating presentation materials and models for client presentations. Learn to manipulate basic design elements such as spatial layout, color, light, texture, and scale. Research manufacturers and contribute to selection of colors, finishes, materials, furniture, and lighting for interior application, ensuring sustainability goals of the firm are maintained. Contribute to programming and space planning analysis and provides area calculations. Gain exposure to knowledge of project scope, budgets, and deliverables. Use a creative approach to perform tasks and responsibilities on projects in an organized, timely, and consistent way. Self-check work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and for document compliance in accordance with the Project Delivery Manual. Proactively asks questions and expresses curiosity about the world of design, materials, and products as well as the industry at large. Provide support to tasks within project teams (may focus on individual detailed tasks) and studio activities. Participate in design reviews, charettes, and pin-ups. Keep open communication within team and with designated team leader. Communicate ideas and thoughts in a way that inspires others. Assist with coordination among partners and consultants.
