About The Position

The Interior Designer/Construction Manager is responsible for all aspects of interior construction projects from conception to completion with direct responsibility for in budget on schedule projects within a multi-site medical office building portfolio.

Requirements

  • Professional Degree from an accredited Interior Design or Architecture program
  • 5+ years of professional experience in commercial or healthcare tenant development environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and instruction, yet able to function as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Serve as leader on each project to coordinate and supervise all aspects of the scope of work
  • Perform site survey of existing conditions and field measurements
  • Produce space plans, pricing plans, design development packages and construction documents
  • Demonstrate competency with building codes, TAS/ADA and healthcare design
  • Prepare bid invitation and qualify bids
  • Review change orders and review and approve all pay applications
  • Establish and maintain construction budget
  • Lead construction progress meetings
  • Review contractor submittals and RFI’s during construction
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
  • Handle multiple tasks while remaining detail oriented and delivering results within given timelines
  • Communicate well with clients and team members
