About The Position

This position offers the opportunity for training and development leading to a future career path with the firm. The Interior Design Technician works simultaneously on a variety of projects supporting the Interior Design Studio staff in the daily operations and individual design teams throughout all phases of projects. Performs assignments under the direction of more experienced staff, including but not limited to project administration, schematic design, design development, and contract document administration Assists in computer production of preliminary plans and preparation of client presentations Researches and resources finish materials, furniture, lighting, and accessories, including phone calls, showroom visits, and other communications with vendors Generates schedules for project designers’ review Maintains physical and digital resources, including organization, updating, and maintaining inventory of finish library as well as product representative contact information Updates client folders and binders Applies established interior design standards Assists in the development of design solutions for review

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field required
Entry level position, appropriate for 0-3 years of professional experience
Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite of products
Proficient with technical detailing
Strong sketch capabilities
Can think creatively – big thinker
Able to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Detail-oriented and organized with excellent time management skills
Capable of maintaining focus in an open office environment
Strong customer service skills for interface with clients, vendors, and contractors
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills along with interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

Exposure or experience with Sketch-Up
Exposure or experience with Studio WebWare preferred

Responsibilities
