The Interior Design Sales Leader/Manager at Ethan Allen Global, Inc. is primarily responsible for overseeing the management, development, training, and motivation of the design teams while ensuring a high level of customer engagement and achieving sales goals. This role involves actively coaching design team associates to enhance the professionalism of the design services offered and assisting in the development of business plans aimed at increasing market reach and revenue. The Sales Leader/Manager will partner with each associate to manage design projects, customer contacts, relationships, sales volume, and overall customer satisfaction, holding the design teams accountable for meeting established goals. In this position, the Sales Leader/Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the design center, adhering to Ethan Allen's Leadership Principles, which include implementing change initiatives and fostering successful relationships within the team. The role requires driving new business and increasing sales through grassroots marketing initiatives, which may involve partnering with local businesses, developing trade business, and utilizing social media and other digital channels for online interactions. The Sales Leader/Manager will also perform essential functions for the development of written business plans and will review P&L statements monthly with the Market Design Leader and Market Operations Leader. Additionally, the Sales Leader/Manager will develop and participate in community programs to enhance Ethan Allen's visibility in the local market. This includes conducting performance appraisals in accordance with company policy, ensuring compliance with company policies, and providing guidance to key personnel to promote sales growth and financial integrity. Training sessions for the design center will be conducted, and the Sales Leader/Manager will participate in corporately sponsored training sessions to further develop the team and business. Monthly and quarterly goal setting with all designers within the design center is also a critical responsibility, along with contributing ideas for policy changes that support design center growth and ensuring proper inventory reconciliation. The role may require proposing innovative strategies to support business growth and improvement, as well as performing any other duties as required.
