About The Position

The Interior Design Manager at Gas Lamp Design will lead and inspire a team of designers while managing multiple projects and client relationships. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in commercial interior design, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to foster creativity while overseeing schedules and budgets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is REQUIRED.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional interior design experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in commercial interior design projects.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• Experience in business development and client relationship management.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, sustainability standards, and industry best practices.

Nice To Haves

• Certification through NCIDQ, LEED, or equivalent is a plus.
• Familiarity with multifamily, boutique hospitality, or senior living design projects.
• Strong understanding of branding and its integration into design.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to identify and pursue new business opportunities, including preparing presentations, proposals, and pitches.
• Represent the company at networking events, industry conferences, and client meetings.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure all milestones are met.
• Manage resource allocation across multiple projects to maximize efficiency and maintain quality standards.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to address challenges and maintain project momentum.
• Guide the design process from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with client goals and brand standards.
• Review and approve design concepts, material selections, and final presentations.
• Maintain a pulse on industry trends, innovations, and best practices to ensure cutting-edge solutions for clients.
• Develop and implement processes for improving workflow efficiency, time management, and project coordination.
• Ensure all projects adhere to applicable codes, regulations, and sustainability guidelines.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, schedules, and reports with a focus on profitability and client satisfaction.
