About The Position

Requirements

• 5+ years of residential remodeling interior design experience
• 2+ years of remodeling or design sales experience
• 2+ years in a leadership role
• Tech-savvy with AutoCAD and Buildertrend experience preferred
• Demonstrated sales and customer service ability
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Lead the design team by developing and implementing policies and goals, recruiting, hiring, and training staff.
• Manage the preparation and quality control of design documents, including construction drawings and permits.
• Collaborate with clients and the HDR team to set and refine project scopes, review budgets, and secure design and construction agreements.
• Refine and improve the sales process to meet personal and company sales goals.
• Collaborate with the Head of Business Development to develop design fee estimates and monitor departmental progress against targets.
• Train design staff on production needs and collaborate with the production team to improve the accuracy of drawings, estimates, and contracts.
• Oversee the transfer of comprehensive project details from design to production and support production during the construction phase.
• Ensure timely ordering and documentation of fixtures and finishes, and address client needs or change orders.
