About The Position

The Interior Design Assistant position at our high-end residential design studio in Downtown Campbell involves supporting the senior designer in various design and drafting tasks. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with a passion for interior design, who can effectively collaborate with team members and communicate with external partners.

Requirements

• 3+ years of design and drafting experience at a design firm
• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design preferable (not required)
• High School diploma required
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Valid driver's license, with access to a car

• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications
• Knowledge of interior design and detailing
• Enthusiasm for design, furniture, and materials
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organization and deadline management abilities

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior designer on material and design specifications
• Prepare presentation boards
• Research and specify materials and furniture
• Communicate with architect, contractors, showrooms, and manufacturers
• Create AutoCAD construction documentation including specifications
• Produce space plans, elevations, custom cabinets and design details as needed
