About The Position

The primary function of an Interior Coordinator is to provide product knowledge on building materials including drywall, insulation, metal studs, ceiling systems, stucco and EIFS, tools, safety equipment, and accessories for the drywall industry. Also, this position will provide support in the functions of operations, fleet management, and IT support.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required, 4 year degree or some college preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team.
  • Ability to self-manage, show initiative, be proactive, and drive results.
  • Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to coworkers and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Purchase and maintain adequate levels of inventory.
  • Take orders at the sales counter and over the phone.
  • Build relationships with customers.
  • Ability to use company computer system as needed.
  • Complete sales orders and tender cash sales.
  • Develop product knowledge to assist customers with purchases.
  • Cold-call prospects that are generated by external lead sources.
  • Work with Outside Sales Reps and Sales Managers to develop a plan to help in sales effort.
  • Overcome objections of prospective customers.
  • Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports.
  • Support Area Managers in managing operational costs.
  • Actively anticipate operational risks and create solutions and/or preventative measures.
  • Assist Area Managers with MORA inspections.
  • Assists in achieving operations goals set by the Area Manager.
  • Assures compliance with the Safety and Loss Control Program.
  • Assists in all aspects of equipment; ordering equipment, managing cost of equipment, maintenance costs, and repair costs.
  • Order IT equipment as directed by Area Managers.
  • Assist in managing mobile phone costs.
  • Responsible for vehicle registrations.
