About The Position

At United Contractor Services, we don't just build interiors - we set the standard for how specialty construction gets done. As one of North America's largest and fastest-growing specialty subcontractors and a Top 50 Walls and Ceilings Contractor in the U.S., we bring expertise in drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, EIFS, stucco, and painting to commercial projects across the country. We're expanding our field leadership team and looking for a driven Superintendent ready to take ownership on job sites nationwide. As an Interior Buildout Field Superintendent, you'll be the boots-on-the-ground leader responsible for keeping projects moving - safely, on schedule, and to spec. You'll work directly with project managers, trade partners, and clients to drive execution from early-phase planning through final completion. This is a travel-based position supporting project sites across the U.S., with full company support for lodging and per diem.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of commercial construction experience, with a proven track record in a superintendent role
  • Willingness and ability to travel to project sites nationwide
  • Strong layout proficiency on complex commercial projects
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and structural plans with confidence
  • Demonstrated skill in building and managing project schedules
  • Sharp attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work
  • Clear, effective communicator across clients, crews, and internal stakeholders
  • OSHA 30 certification (required)
  • Comfort with technology and cloud-based field reporting platforms

Responsibilities

  • Lead all on-site construction activity across project phases, from initial layout through closeout
  • Partner daily with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors to maintain workflow continuity and ensure timely material and service delivery
  • Direct and support field crews, setting clear expectations for performance, quality, and accountability
  • Perform regular site walks to evaluate progress, verify code compliance, and uphold safety standards
  • Get ahead of problems - identify risks early and drive solutions before they impact the schedule
  • Keep thorough project records including daily logs, progress reports, and change order documentation
  • Champion a jobsite safety culture grounded in industry best practices and OSHA standards
