Wight & Company is seeking a talented and motivated Interior Architect with 6+ years of professional experience to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary practice. This role involves leading interior architecture projects from early concept through construction, delivering thoughtful, functional, and inspiring environments that align with client goals, technical requirements, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field
  • 6+ years of professional experience in an architecture or interior architecture firm
  • Strong design sensibility balancing aesthetics, function, and constructability
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit; familiarity with AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Experience across commercial, workplace, education, and civic project typologies

Nice To Haves

  • Licensure as an Interior Designer or Architect (or ability to obtain licensure) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead interior architectural design across all project phases, including programming, conceptual design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
  • Develop space plans, interior architectural details, material and finish palettes, furniture selection, specifications, and procurement.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Coordinate and produce high-quality drawings and specifications using Revit and related tools.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct site visits and support construction administration activities.
  • Manage schedules, budgets, and deliverables; contribute to quality control reviews
  • Mentor and support junior staff as appropriate.
