About The Position

Ironclad, Inc. is seeking an Interim Sales Compensation Analyst to design and maintain incentive structures that align with the company's corporate and go-to-market strategy. This temporary role, lasting six months, involves delivering annual incentive compensation plans, ensuring accurate monthly compensation calculations, and providing insights on the impact of incentives on business outcomes. The analyst will collaborate closely with various teams including Finance, Sales Operations, and Accounting to manage and execute compensation plans effectively.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in sales compensation administration, sales finance, or a related role preferably within a tech or SaaS company.
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, budgeting, and reporting with the ability to deliver insights from data.
  • Proven ability in standardizing processes, documenting operating procedures, and building scalable solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop trusted cross-functional relationships and influence executive decisions.
  • Proficiency in GTM and financial systems like Salesforce, Netsuite, Planful, and CaptivateIQ.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver incentive structures for various go-to-market roles such as Sales, Business Development, Partnerships, and Customer Success.
  • Serve as the primary link between go-to-market teams, Finance, Accounting, Operations, and People teams.
  • Review performance metrics, manage exceptions, forecast commission spend, balance budgets, and administer SPIFFs.
  • Roll out incentive plans for all existing and new employees, maintaining sales compensation policy documents and commission calculators/models.
  • Ensure commissions are calculated and paid accurately.
  • Manage and maintain records of individual compensation plans and quotas.
  • Provide monthly commission accruals to Accounting, forecast monthly commission spend, and report on commission impacts on cash flow and P&L statements.
  • Partner closely with the Finance team to analyze spend variance vs budgets and forecast scenarios.
  • Analyze and build models to evaluate the effectiveness of sales compensation plans in meeting business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and regulatory guidelines, and assist in audit documentation.
