The Interim Executive Teaching Pastor is a pivotal role within the Executive Group, responsible for making consensus-based decisions that impact the entire church community. This position requires a strong leader who can effectively communicate and embody the mission, vision, and values of Southeast Christian Church. The Interim Executive Teaching Pastor will work closely with the Elder Board and Executive Pastors to shape the church's direction and ensure that these principles are lived out through both staff and congregation. This role involves overseeing the Creative Pastor and collaborating on various projects, including budget management and sermon planning. The pastor will also be responsible for developing mentoring relationships with team members, fostering a culture of independence and creativity, and ensuring a unified voice in teaching and preaching across the church. In addition to leadership responsibilities, the Interim Executive Teaching Pastor will engage in sermon planning, mentoring new preachers, and connecting with congregants to build rapport. The role requires a commitment to the church's mission and values, with expectations to preach regularly, especially in the initial months of employment. The pastor will also be involved in promoting the church's activities both within and outside its walls, utilizing various platforms such as online services and social media. This position demands a significant time commitment, with primary hours expected to be Sunday through Thursday, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The work environment is professional, utilizing standard office equipment, and the role may involve physical demands such as lifting and standing for extended periods.
