About The Position
Interim Director of Nursing (DON), RN – Immediate Start Sugar Land Health Care Center 333 Matlage Way Sugar Land, TX 77478 Immediate Opening | Interim Assignment | Skilled Nursing Sugar Land Health Care Center is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Nursing (DON), RN, who is available to step in immediately and provide strong, steady clinical leadership in our skilled nursing facility. This is a hands-on, boots-on-the-ground role for a seasoned RN Director of Nursing who can quickly assess, stabilize, and lead nursing operations while supporting staff and ensuring high-quality resident care. What We’re Looking For Immediate availability to start Required: Prior DON experience in a skilled nursing facility Strong knowledge of: State and federal regulations Survey readiness and compliance Staffing, scheduling, and clinical oversight Ability to lead, coach, and support nursing teams during a transition Calm, confident leadership style with strong communication skills Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day oversight of nursing services Ensure compliance with all regulatory and clinical standards Support staffing needs, scheduling, and clinical coverage Lead and mentor nursing leadership and floor staff Maintain survey readiness and proactively address clinical risk areas Collaborate with facility leadership to ensure continuity of care Qualifications Active RN license in the state of Texas (required) Required: Prior DON experience in a skilled nursing facility Strong clinical, regulatory, and leadership background Ability to step in quickly and make an immediate impact Why Sugar Land Health Care Center? Requirements
