We are seeking an experienced Interim Controller to manage day-to-day controllership duties for a manufacturing organization. This 6-month engagement requires a strong background in accounting and finance, particularly within manufacturing environments, and experience with multiple ERP systems. The Interim Controller will also assist in system implementation and upgrades, ensuring a smooth transition and optimal financial operations.

  • Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, variance reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide insights to senior management.
  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning initiatives.
  • Assist in the implementation and upgrades of ERP systems, providing expertise to optimize financial workflows and reporting capabilities.
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency.
  • Train and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Serve as a point of contact for external auditors and regulatory agencies during audits and compliance reviews.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with significant experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven experience with multiple ERP systems; familiarity with implementation processes is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
