About The Position

The Chief Impact Officer is a senior executive responsible for strategic leadership, management of a high-performing team and implementation of all site-based student pathways, enrichment, extra curricular activities, compliance and integrity. Key oversight duties include: college and career readiness program design, implementation, quality improvement, grants and budget management, staff training, compliance, external partnerships and student/family advocacy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in required, Educational background (preferred)
  • 10+ years proven success in school leadership and management of high performing teams in educational setting; C-Suite or senior management level experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or higher (preferred)
  • School Administrator Certification or licenses preferred

Responsibilities

  • Directs and implements a comprehensive program strategy to meet KIPP KC impact goals while ensuring alignment with KIPP’s mission and fidelity to organizational quality models – Integrated Student Supports, including disciplinary hearings.
  • Provide modeling and coaching of best practices in team leadership, quality program delivery, programmatic compliance, and program evaluation.
  • Represent KIPP in the community and uphold its mission, vision, and values
  • Design and implement learning pathways to align to college and career readiness.
  • Oversees Real World Learning Pathways, Student Enrichment & Extracurricular Activities, ensures effective training, supervision, and accountability.
  • Establish and manage partnerships aligned to student experiences.
  • Develop and monitor program budgets, reporting, and compliance.
  • Partner with Finance and Administration to oversee contracts and funder requirements.
  • Facilitate management of CTE programs and RWL Pathway advisory committees, including SMART goal production, for assigned pathways.
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing staff development for CTE Pathways and programs.
  • Support CTE student organization sponsors (e.g., FBLA, DECA, HOSA, TSA, FCCLA, SkillsUSA, etc.) for the purpose of providing support and sharing information as needed.
  • Facilitate sessions for the purpose of developing real world learning curriculum opportunities.
  • Analyze data systems to track services, evaluate outcomes, and drive quality improvement.
  • Manage student CCR Assessment & Achievement and Advance Courses & Credit opportunities
  • Promote equity by breaking down barriers to student success with strategies to address student academic, attendance, behavioral, and physical well-being.
  • Champion KIPP’s mission with staff, board, volunteers, schools, and partners.
  • Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical judgment.
  • Build a supportive work environment with a positive, collaborative attitude.
