Requirements

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in education or a related field.
Professional Educator License (PEL) or Educator License with Stipulations (ELS) are strongly preferred but not required.
3-5 years of teaching experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Cultivate a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that supports the academic growth and social-emotional development of students.
Collaborate in designing a culturally relevant curriculum that reflects diverse perspectives, ensuring content and teaching strategies that resonate with and empower students from all backgrounds.
Engage students in real-world problem-solving by collaboratively designing grassroots campaigns that address student-identified community issues.
Deliver tailored instruction through various formats, including individual, small group, and whole group settings, employing differentiated teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs.
Conduct ongoing assessment and evaluation of students’ academic performance, while maintaining accurate and up-to-date records to inform instructional decisions.
Foster open and transparent communication with students and parents to ensure holistic support for each child's progress and specific needs.
Utilize a small-group and data-driven approach.
