About The Position
In this position, you will provide thorough assessment, non-medical counseling, and consultation services to clients who present for care with substance use risk factors and/or disorders. You will coordinate with community referral resources to develop specific treatment programs tailored to individual needs. Your role will involve interviewing individuals and family members to explore and analyze factors influencing personality development and family structure, particularly in relation to symptomatic behavior patterns and complicated interpersonal problems. You will analyze and evaluate the information obtained and utilize other social and medical consultation resources as required. Additionally, you will make referrals to other social or medical resources as appropriate and perform various administrative duties in support of services provided, including conducting seminars and training programs for facility, installation, and community health-care providers and staff. Continuing support and treatment to clients and families will also be a key aspect of your responsibilities.
