About The Position
The Interdisciplinary Physical Scientist/Oceanographer will serve as a specialist in oceanography at the Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Center (FNMOC). The role involves analyzing oceanographic databases, interpreting numerical model outputs, and conducting physical oceanographic analyses. The position requires independent scientific decision-making and reporting findings through various formats, including technical reports and scientific articles. The incumbent will also support military operations by providing oceanographic analysis and serve as a Subject Matter Expert in oceanography.
