  • Function as an engineer/architect in the field of construction engineering.
  • Provide assistance and technical guidance to other engineers/architects.
  • Monitor construction activity to ensure compliance with contract plans and specifications.
  • Review construction project parameters to recommend changes for improved project results.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets to conform with project and customer requirements.
  • Manage design and construction projects to ensure adherence to pre-established standards.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level.
  • Degree in Engineering or Architecture, or a related field with relevant coursework.
  • Professional registration or licensure as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred.
  • Experience in construction management and engineering for alterations, repairs, and new construction.
  • Ability to prepare construction cost estimates in support of contract negotiations.
  • Experience in reviewing and approving contract technical submittals.
