Interconnections Senior Planning Engineer - Transmission Planning
About The Position
The Interconnections Senior Planning Engineer will coordinate and perform interconnection studies for data centers, offshore wind, energy storage, public policy transmission, and other new clean energy projects. They will conduct power-flow and short circuit analyses for substations, identify local and system upgrades to maintain reliable electric system operations. Additionally, they will manage internal engineering support activities, interface with NYISO and merchant developers, assess the impacts of new generation/transmission/load projects on the bulk electric system, and recommend modifications to NYISO.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and perform interconnection studies for data centers, offshore wind, energy storage, public policy transmission, and other new clean energy projects.
- Conduct power-flow and short circuit analyses for substations
