Electric Power Engineers, Inc. (EPE) works with clients on a global scale designing solutions for renewable energy (solar/wind/battery storage), Generation Interconnection, Transmission Planning, Distribution Planning, Distributed Energy Resources (DER), and Smart Grids. Through this opportunity, the intern will gain hands-on experience.

Requirements

  • Currently pursing bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with any types of power system software and their APIs (e.g. PSSE, TARA, PSSE, PowerWorld, PSCAD, etc) would be considered a plus
  • Background in power systems tools a plus (TARA, PSSE, PowerWorld, PSCAD, etc)

Responsibilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with automation tools and frameworks, which can streamline data processing and reporting workflows.
  • Building static and dynamic power system models including new technologies, such as inverters, wind turbines, or storage systems which may require interaction with equipment vendors to determine the appropriate parameters.
