Intercollegiate Athletic Trainer Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) Position Summary Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking an experienced and motivated Intercollegiate Athletic Trainer to support Division I student‑athletes through high‑quality sports medicine care. This role provides services to athletes who experience injuries, functional limitations, or changes in physical function or health status. The Athletic Trainer collaborates daily with a multidisciplinary healthcare and educational team and serves as a liaison between VUMC Sports Medicine and the University’s athletic programs. Term Position Information This is a Term position. A Term position is a staff position that is expected to exist for a period longer than six months, but generally not beyond one year. Although a position may exist for a specified or indefinite period, staff who accept Term positions are not guaranteed employment for the entire period; they are employed for indefinite periods within the limit of the appointment. There are no guarantees of continued employment, either within the term or when the term ends. Hires in term positions are bound by all VUMC policies and procedures and must successfully complete an initial orientation period. Staff members in term positions are eligible for certain benefits. Sports Assignment This role will be assigned to one of the following sports: Men’s Basketball Soccer/Lacrosse Track/Cross-Country Football/Bowling Sport assignment is determined based on experience, program needs, and departmental structure.
