About The Position

Felician University is presently seeking several safety-conscious, flexible and dependable drivers who enjoy working with students in a college environment. The University offers a wide variety of non-exempt schedules: Per diem, hours flex on an 'as-needed' basis. All drivers are required to have a valid CDL license in good standing and appropriate certifications for operation of respective vehicles.

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required
• Safe driving record which meets the insurance requirements of the University
• Ability to read and interpret maps
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to establish and maintain proper conduct and safety of passengers
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, caution and composure at all times when operating transportation vehicles
• Fluency in verbal and written English sufficient to successfully perform required duties
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with those contacted in the performance of duties
• Ability to identify mechanical and safety hazards in a variety of transportation vehicles
• Meet the physical requirements essential to safely and effectively perform required duties
• Thorough understanding of proper safety requirements for individuals with physical challenges
• Flexibility in adjusting work schedule to meet the needs of students, staff and faculty for transportation needs outside of the regular work schedule
