About The Position

Gateway is seeking a skilled, organized, energetic, customer service-oriented, and committed professional for a Therapist position within its Intensive In-Home Services (IIHS) program. This role offers rewarding opportunities to positively impact children and families in a supportive learning environment, fostering staff skill development. The Therapist will provide therapeutic intervention and skills-based teaching to families on their caseload. The core mission of this role in Gateway’s IIHS program is to deliver intensive in-home therapy services to at-risk families, with the primary goal of protecting children while safely maintaining families together. Therapy and services are delivered directly in family homes, utilizing a highly successful teaching and coaching curriculum alongside evidence-based, trauma-informed interventions. Gateway has been Alabama’s leading provider of IIHS since its inception in 1995.

Requirements

Master’s degree in social work or Counseling required
Must possess or be eligible for LMSW (Licensed Master’s Social Worker) or ALC (Associate Licensed Counselor) credentials
Good written and verbal skills
Skilled with engaging families and building on their strengths to successfully and safely care for their children
Proficient with Electronic Health Record, email, and Microsoft Office
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Reliable transportation
Ability to deliver in-home services and therapy in assigned counties
Driving record and insurance as required by Gateway’s insurer

Nice To Haves

LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) or LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) preferred
One year of experience in child welfare preferred
