About The Position

The Department of Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine is seeking a full-time, fellowship-trained board-eligible Critical Care Physician with core training in either Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, or Surgery at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor academic ranks. This will be a full-time clinical position with the Grady Health System Acute Care Surgery Service and an academic appointment at Emory University School of Medicine. The candidate should have experience in surgical intensive care and an interest in providing care in a surgical intensive care unit (inclusive of trauma, surgical disciplines, and cardiovascular patients). Grady Memorial Hospital the only ACS-verified Level 1 trauma center in Atlanta with approximately 10,000 trauma admissions annually, serving the Atlanta community and acting as a referral center for surrounding hospitals. The applicant would be joining a group of 15 Acute Care Surgeons and three (3) Non-Surgical Intensivists on the ACS service at Grady. Clinical responsibilities include providing care in the Surgical ICU at Grady as well as teaching trainees at all levels and participating in clinical research and programmatic development. As part of Emory School of Medicine in partnership with Grady Health System and Morehouse School of Medicine, there is access to a broad spectrum of academic opportunities including a multi-disciplinary network of collaborators for clinical care, research, community outreach, and systems development.
