Requirements
- RIDE certification in Teacher of students with intellectual disabilities
Responsibilities
- Provides instruction and support to a class of 4 students in collaboration with paraprofessionals and specialized support professionals.
- Develops, coordinates and implements curriculum that aligns with the Essential Elements for ELA & Math
- Collects, analyzes and prepares data to inform instruction and share with colleagues and parents
- Works collaboratively as part of the special education team.
- Demonstrates and models best practices in students with intellectual disabilities
- Collaborates with outside agencies, school personnel and parents for the purpose of identification of students having a disability.
