About The Position

The Intensive Program Clinician I provides direct intensive community treatment services for individuals in the REACH program diagnosed with behavioral health diagnoses. Works as part of the REACH team to ensure services and resources are coordinated among providers as needed to help individuals served live and participate optimally in the community.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge and training in best practices for providing community-based crisis services for individuals with co-occurring developmental disabilities and behavioral health diagnoses.
• Demonstrated knowledge of agency, local, state, and federal regulations as they pertain to the REACH program.
• Thorough knowledge of DSM-V etiology, symptoms, treatment, and prognoses.
• Ability to administer various treatments and therapeutic modalities as appropriate.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Basic working knowledge of medical, legal, and financial terminology; and psychopharmacology.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team, think critically, and problem solve effectively.
• Valid driver’s license (state of Virginia) with an acceptable driving record.
• Acceptable criminal history background and child protective services check upon hire.
• Acceptable drug screen results upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of clinical experience working with individuals with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, developmental and/or intellectual disabilities.
• Additional compensation for speaking multiple languages.
