Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and clinically skilled Therapist to join our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in Missouri City, TX. This full-time, in-person position plays an essential role in providing high-quality behavioral health care and advancing program excellence through clinical delivery, utilization review, and participation in quality and performance initiatives. The ideal candidate is a master’s-level clinician who is confident in group facilitation, understands the importance of outcome-driven treatment, and values teamwork, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work field from an accredited institution.
  • Active Texas license (LMSW, LCSW, or LMFT)
  • At least two (2) years of experience providing therapy in an IOP, PHP, or behavioral health setting preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong clinical documentation and time management abilities.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health regulations, confidentiality standards, and managed care practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to team-based quality initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with utilization review, insurance authorization, and clinical documentation strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate daily group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing.
  • Conduct individual and family therapy sessions as clinically indicated.
  • Develop and maintain treatment plans and progress notes that reflect measurable goals and patient-centered outcomes.
  • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with internal policies, state, and payer requirements.
  • Participate in utilization review (UR) processes, ensuring that patient care meets medical necessity criteria and level-of-care standards.
  • Coordinate with insurance providers and treatment team members to support continued authorization and seamless transitions of care.
  • Actively participate in quality and performance improvement committees, contributing to discussions on patient outcomes, documentation standards, and clinical compliance.
  • Collaborate with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to identify opportunities for program enhancement and to support the development of new treatment initiatives.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings, clinical case reviews, and internal training to maintain best-practice standards.
  • Support organizational accreditation and survey readiness activities (e.g., Joint Commission, state licensure reviews).
  • Work closely with psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, and administrative staff to ensure continuity of care and effective communication.
  • Provide input to leadership regarding program improvements, patient needs, and workflow efficiencies.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all patient and team interactions.
  • Conduct weekly environmental rounds consistent with Joint Commission and HHSC requirements
  • Ensure that the clinical environment is conducive to a safe, secure, and calm setting
  • Report any safety or environmental concerns to leadership/management
