Klingberg is a private non-profit multi service agency who provides help to thousands of people across Connecticut each year. Our goal is to extend hope and healing to children and families whose lives have been traumatized by abuse and/or neglect in its various forms, sever family problems and mental health issues. We are looking to hire a full time Bilingual Worker in our Intensive Family Preservation (IFP) Program. IFP is all about keeping families together. IFP is designed to quickly intervene and reduce immediate safety factors and the risk of future neglect and abuse of children. Services are intensive and short-term: twice a week for the first four weeks and a minimum of one visit for the remaining weeks of service based on the needs of the family and the length of service being 4-6 months. Under the direction of the Coordinator of Intensive Family Preservation, provides intensive home‑based services to families whose children are at imminent risk for being removed from their families. It requires 24‑hour on‑call availability to assist with problem diffusion, structuring and resolution.
