About The Position

An established acute care hospital in North Central Florida is hiring ICU Registered Nurses (ICU RNs) to support a high-acuity 48-bed Intensive Care Unit . This role is ideal for nurses with a strong acute care foundation who are passionate about critical care, patient outcomes, and professional growth. The ICU cares for complex medical, surgical, neurological, and trauma-related conditions in a collaborative, team-driven environment.

Requirements

Active Florida RN license or multistate compact RN license
Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience (ICU or higher-acuity preferred)
BLS (AHA) within 30 days of start
ACLS (AHA) within 30 days of start
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) Required
Within 1 Year of Hire: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or CCRN – Critical Care Registered Nurse (Adult)

Nice To Haves

Prior ICU, stepdown, or trauma experience
BSN

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill ICU patients
Perform comprehensive assessments and continuous hemodynamic monitoring
Administer medications, manage titratable drips, and support ventilated patients
Collaborate closely with physicians, intensivists, and interdisciplinary care teams
Recognize and respond to rapid changes in patient condition
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and recovery plans
Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record
Support evidence-based practice, safety initiatives, and quality improvement efforts
