About The Position

A Level II Trauma acute care hospital in Central Florida is seeking experienced ICU Registered Nurses to join a high-acuity critical care team. This unit provides intensive monitoring and advanced clinical interventions in a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient safety, autonomy, and teamwork. Night shift candidates are especially encouraged to apply due to immediate staffing needs.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care ICU RN experience
• Active Florida RN license or multistate compact license (Florida license required within 60 days of relocation)
• Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree Required
• NIH Stroke Scale – within 30 days of hire
• BLS – within 30 days of hire
• ACLS – within 6 months of hire
• PALS – within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care to critically ill patients
• Perform frequent assessments and monitor vital signs to identify and respond to life-threatening changes
• Utilize clinical judgment to manage complex treatment plans independently
• Advocate for patients as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• Administer medications and therapies in accordance with evidence-based practice
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and care plans
• Accurately document patient status, interventions, and outcomes
