About The Position
Description Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive assessments of critically ill patients Continuously monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and neurological status Administer IV medications, vasopressors, sedatives, and other critical therapies Operate and manage advanced life-support equipment such as ventilators and infusion pumps Provide care for patients with organ failure, severe infections, trauma, or post-surgical complications Respond rapidly to emergencies and participate in resuscitation efforts Interpret lab results and diagnostic data to guide patient care Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and recovery expectations Maintain detailed patient documentation and ensure adherence to safety and infection control standards ICU RNs frequently care for patients with: Respiratory failure requiring mechanical ventilation Sepsis or severe infections Cardiac arrest or severe cardiac conditions Traumatic injuries Stroke or neurological emergencies Multi-organ failure Post-operative complications after major surgery
