Intensive Care Registered Nurse
About The Position
We are seeking a n Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse , also referred to as an ICU RN , Intensive Care Nurse or Intensive Care Unit RN. The Intensive Care RN (ICU RN) will be responsible for providing intensive care to patients with life-threatening conditions. The ICU RN will have advanced skills in critical care settings, make quick decision s , and will be compassionate to all patient s . An ICU RN monitors vital signs, blood oxygen levels, administer IV Fluids, and communicates effectively to the medical team to modify care plans accordingly. Requirements
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of Critical Care Course preferred
- Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
- Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care to critically ill patients by performing detailed assessments, developing care plans, and implementing complex nursing interventions
- U se advanced equipment like cardiac monitors, pulse oximeters, blood pressure monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and capnography devices to continuously track vital signs and physiological parameters
- Safely administer medications, intravenous fluids, and blood products with precise dosing and timing, closely monitoring patient responses to ensure effectiveness and prevent adverse reactions
- Manag e life-support devices such as ventilators, dialysis machines, and cardiac monitors
- Provide emotional support and education to patients' families, acting as a liaison to ensure they understand the care being provided
- D ocument all aspects of patient care to ensure continuity and compliance while rigorously maintaining infection control and safety protocols to protect vulnerable patients
