About The Position

Requirements

  • Current California RN license
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) required
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Current BLS and ACLS provider cards required
  • Minimum 1 year ICU acute hospital experience required
  • Certification in field of specialty (CCRN, Trauma) preferred
  • Critical Care course or equivalent experience preferred
  • Cardio-Vascular (open heart) experience preferred
  • Trauma Care experience preferred

  • Experience with organ procurement processes
  • Experience in a trauma center
  • Advanced communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for various patient types including cardiovascular, stroke, and trauma patients.
  • Conduct hourly patient assessments and demonstrate advanced assessment skills to identify changes in patient conditions.
  • Notify physicians of changes in patient conditions, including cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic status.
  • Manage patients on ventilators in collaboration with respiratory therapists and physicians.
  • Lead Code Blues and participate in the Rapid Response team.
  • Deliver individualized quality patient care through a coordinated team approach with healthcare professionals and family members.
  • Document relevant data, nursing diagnoses, outcomes, and patient care plans accurately and timely.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for licensure and certification renewal.
