About The Position

Arcadis is seeking an Intelligent Water & Hydraulic Engineer, to join our world-class firm in Cincinnati, OH working within our Water Resiliency Planning & Design Teams. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and independent professional to join our team locally with support from one of the best qualified consulting firms in the country. In this position you will utilize your professional experience and technical knowledge of hydraulics, wastewater collection, stormwater, water distribution systems modeling, combined with data analytics and intelligent water, to assist the project teams they support in executing projects and developing project pursuits within the local and national municipal market of this office, to help build and grow our practice. Requirements

• BS degree OR MS in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Hydraulic modeling & engineering knowledge for evaluations, investigations, planning, feasibility studies and modeling (SWMM experience preferred) of wastewater collection, stormwater, and water distribution systems.
• Experience with data processing and visualization software, including ArcGIS data processing.
• Programming experience.
• Experience with predictive and prescriptive analytics (machine learning).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, public speaking/presenting, effective communication with team members, clients and other stakeholders.
• Exceptional Microsoft Office skills.

Nice To Haves

• Engineer in Training Certification (EIT) or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• PhD degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field of study.
• Previous internship experience with an engineering consulting firm, municipality or other closely related work.
• Hydraulic modeling & engineering experience for evaluations, investigations, planning, feasibility studies and modeling (SWMM and/or ICM experience expected) of wastewater and stormwater collection systems and/or (EPANet and/or InfoWater experience) water distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Performing engineering activities for wastewater collection system, stormwater, and water distribution modeling, evaluations, investigations, planning, feasibility studies, design and construction.
• Work may also include a variety of other water/wastewater infrastructure, including water and wastewater treatment and water/wastewater facilities design, utilities assessments and design.
• Assisting others with defining scope of work and objectives through research and fact-finding.
• Ensuring project compliance with all Arcadis' practices and quality and safety standards.
• Exercising independent judgment on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
• Coordinating for timely completion and submission of project deliverables.
• Producing and reviewing technical reports, construction documents, and cost estimates for projects.
• Regular participation with industry Associations; attending workshops, making presentations, and reviewing professional publications.
