About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior Manager to lead a large team of intelligence targeters in support of a high‑visibility customer mission. The ideal candidate brings at least 8–10 years of experience as an targeter or intelligence analyst in the U.S. Intelligence Community, along with a successful track record of leading and managing teams of 40 or more personnel. This position is fully onsite at a customer facility in Chantilly, VA, and does not involve travel. The Senior Manager will be a key member of the Program Management Office (PMO) and will report directly to the Program Manager and Deputy PM. GCI embodies excellence, integrity and professionalism. As an Intelligence Sr Manager, a typical day will include the following duties:

Requirements

  • Current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph (must be active)
  • At least 8–10 years of relevant experience as an intelligence targeter or intelligence analyst
  • Proven experience managing a large workforce (40+ personnel) in a high‑tempo environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with senior customer leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and professionally develop staff
  • Experience in candidate assessment, interviewing, and hiring processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, an additional six years of relevant experience may be substituted
  • A candidate must be a US Citizen

Responsibilities

  • Daily leadership and oversight of a large team of cleared targeters
  • Performance management (annual reviews, counseling, mentoring, disciplinary actions, awards/recognition)
  • Timekeeping oversight (timecard review, approval, and compliance monitoring)
  • Management of staff training, certification tracking, and professional development
  • Monitoring personnel readiness, welfare, and engagement across the program
  • Coordination of personnel actions to support customer requirements and evolving mission demands
  • Partnering with the Staffing Team and Resource Manager to identify, screen, interview, and recommend highly qualified, fully cleared candidates for technical positions
  • Working closely with customer task managers to determine required skill sets and ensure alignment between candidate capabilities and mission needs
  • Ensuring program‑wide consistency in standards, processes, and communication
  • Identifying or vetting innovative processes in targeting, consistent with customer policies and mission goals
