About The Position

The Intelligence Specialist position at the GG-13 grade level involves leading Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) analysis and production activities. The role is critical for providing maritime customers with timely intelligence and situational awareness across the INDOPACOM area of operation. The specialist will develop strategies, coordinate with various agencies, and mentor junior analysts while ensuring compliance with intelligence oversight requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required.
  • Must acknowledge acceptance of an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service).
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position may require a 2-year DCIPS Trial Period.
  • This position may require a Polygraph Examination.
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain access to NSA facilities and networks.
  • This position may require travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the collection, analysis, fusion, and reporting of Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) to maritime customers.
  • Provide 24-hour Indications and Warning/Situational Awareness to Theater Intelligence consumers.
  • Set priorities and develop strategies leveraging national and tactical resources for NIOC Pacific's mission.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with National and Military entities to ensure Maritime Domain Awareness.
  • Influence actions of other departments to meet command mission requirements and acquire necessary resources.
  • Utilize knowledge in Operational Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) processing systems and National/Theater Intelligence databases.
  • Interpret policy guidance from senior leadership to develop local policies and procedures for Intelligence Oversight compliance.
  • Coordinate access to external resources and make decisions on resource allocation and production timelines.
  • Identify and set overall program objectives and priorities for Threat Warning support to the Fleet.
  • Mentor junior Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) analysts and reporters.
  • Work independently on Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) tasks according to established policies and production schedules.
  • Plan short and long-term analytic projects in a team environment and provide technical guidance to team members.
  • Support strategic planning, deliver briefings, host visitors, and travel on official business.
