About The Position

This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W0CUAA US ARMY FUTURES COMMAND.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • May require Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance based on a T5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience assisting with intelligence related research utilizing library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps.
  • Gathering and reviewing a variety of narrative and/or statistical data to prepare intelligence reports.
  • Conducting analysis of intelligence data to support conclusions and/or recommend actions.

Responsibilities

  • Under close supervision, performs routine intelligence functions in support of the organization's future force modernization enterprise mission.
  • Conduct research in the areas of intelligence, threat assessment and production in support of larger assignments.
  • Perform assigned portions of intelligence projects to include maintaining program records and preparing/submitting reports; and developing information papers and briefings.
  • In a developmental capacity, researches, reviews and analyzes classified and open-source intelligence to support Army Futures Command (AFC) mission areas.
  • In a developmental capacity, produces diverse open-source and all-source intelligence products.
  • Perform assigned portions of intelligence projects to include developing information papers and briefings.
