About The Position

The Intelligence Specialist position at the Department of Defense involves assisting in the development of multi-discipline intelligence collection requirements and providing input on mission direction and foreign military capabilities. The role requires monitoring and tailoring collection management plans, integrating various intelligence collection requirements, and consulting with senior analysts to prioritize resource use. The specialist will also promote the organization's interests in intelligence community resources and implement improved collection management techniques.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on an SSBI with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • Experience in assisting with the preparation of intelligence documents, reports, and/or spreadsheets.
  • Experience with the intelligence process, including tasking, collection, analysis, and dissemination in HUMINT, SIGINT, MASINT, GEOINT, or OSINT.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's or equivalent graduate degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in a federal service position.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of multi-discipline intelligence collection requirements in response to planning and evaluation exercises.
  • Provide input on mission direction and advances in foreign ground force weapon systems and related technologies.
  • Monitor emphasis areas to tailor collection management plans to program capabilities.
  • Integrate HUMINT, SIGINT, OSINT, GEOINT, and MASINT collection requirements into an organizational plan.
  • Consult with senior analysts to develop priorities for limited collection resources.
  • Promote the organization's interests in intelligence community resources at meetings.
  • Monitor and expand an information network to identify intelligence collection opportunities.
  • Provide input for innovative strategies for promoting the organization's interests.
  • Make recommendations for systemic improvement to local procedures.
  • Implement improved collection requirements management techniques and program evaluation approaches.
