About The Position

The Intelligence Research Specialist position at the Department of the Treasury's Office of Intelligence and Analysis (OIA) is focused on providing critical staffing for the Treasury Intelligence Operations Centers. The role involves monitoring incoming intelligence and national security information, and effectively communicating this information to senior leadership within the Treasury. The position is essential for supporting the Treasury's mission in national security and intelligence analysis.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).
  • Eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
  • Successful completion of a background investigation.
  • Compliance with federal ethics laws.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience preparing intelligence or analytical assessments in terrorist financing, money laundering, or Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) proliferation.
  • Experience with intelligence collection, processing, production, and dissemination principles and techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Support TFI and OIA senior leadership with current intelligence information via notification reports and situation reports.
  • Brief TFI senior officials and Treasury Department principals on current intelligence issues and developments.
  • Receive, transmit, control, and distribute critical NSC documents for Treasury Department principals and TFI senior leadership.
  • Operate intelligence and national security information systems, serving as the Department's link with the U.S. Intelligence Community.
  • Conduct research on complex operational issues and distribute information from intelligence, operations, and open sources.
  • Provide Document Control management by ensuring all documents entering or exiting the IOC are properly logged, digitized, and stored.
