About The Position

DCSA's Counterintelligence (CI) Directorate is seeking highly motivated CI professional to serve as a CI Analyst to identify, assess threats to DCSA, the trusted workforce, and cleared industry. In this role you will serve as an SME responsible for providing analytical products involving all-source intelligence analysis on Foreign Intelligence Entities (FIE) posing threats to US national security and integrating intelligence data to generate coherent analysis and reports.

Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Selective Service Requirement: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This is a Drug Testing designated position.
  • Position is a (DCIPS) position in the Excepted Service under U.S.C. 1601.
  • Work Schedule: Full Time.
  • Overtime: Occasionally.
  • Tour of Duty: Flexible.
  • If selected, must obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience analyzing defense intelligence topics, including infrastructure, cyber, or human terrain.
  • Experience with the National Industrial Security Program and the DoD Personnel Security Program.
  • Ability to identify, review, and interpret new data sources.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytic expertise to identify, assess, and disrupt threats to cleared industry, cleared personnel, DOD, and DCSA.
  • Serve as the technical consultant in the field of all-source counterintelligence (CI) analysis, focusing on foreign intelligence entities and threats to critical technology.
  • Review and interpret threat data from all information sources, including the DoD and Intelligence Community.
  • Research, process, synthesize, exploit, integrate, evaluate, analyze, and interpret available information and data.
  • Identify new trends or patterns based on processed information and produce finished intelligence assessments and briefs.
  • Evaluate all-source raw reporting, open-source information, and cleared industry reporting to assess foreign intelligence threats.
  • Provide CI analytic insight related to critical technology and training.
  • Research, screen, collect, evaluate, and disseminate finished assessments and briefings.
  • Provide Threat Information for the development of new industrial security or investigative methods.
  • Determine the handling of sensitive, controversial issues.
  • Evaluate relevance and reliability of classified and unclassified information.
  • Provide CI insight related to U.S. Government agencies and organizations.
  • Train and educate Industrial Security Specialists and Investigators on foreign intelligence threats.
  • Alert DCSA intelligence customers to indications of targeting for intelligence activities.
  • Support CI integration throughout the agency by educating DCSA employees on CI issues.
  • Conduct courses to provide information and guidance on CI issues.
  • Maintain liaison with the Intelligence and Law Enforcement Communities.
  • Identify intelligence gaps and work with DCSA CI Operations Division to drive collection.
  • Produce reports of potential counter-terrorist threats to industry or force protection.
  • Assist in administrative inquiries into potential CI issues involving defense contractors.
  • Develop strategies to stimulate knowledge exchange and enhance process improvement.
  • Facilitate and leverage benchmark knowledge practices.
