About The Position

(U) Intelligence Graphic Artists on contract will produce print graphics in support of finished intelligence (FINTEL). The artist will provide support in the creation of value-added intelligence products. (U) Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Ensure intelligence products effectively convey information and comply with Intelligence Community standards. Collaborate with internal teams and other stakeholders to fully understand product details, goals, and objectives. The Graphic Artist will take draft products and documentation from concept to completion, ensuring each graphical document delivers the correct information in an easy-to-understand format. Graphic artists are responsible for creating and modifying graphics, illustrations, brochures, manuals, publications, and other artwork to better communicate textual content. Graphic Artists research and create maps, pictures, charts, bar scales, and graphics that highlight key themes in products. Graphic Artists develop and maintain databases of stored graphics to quickly create products. They will operate standard computer hardware and software to prepare, revise, print, and store text, illustrations, graphs, and charts and assist with basic illustrations and detail from models, sketches, memory, written or oral instructions, and imagination. The Graphic Artists will select font type, draw lettering, layout materials, and perform duties. They will determine the style, technique, and medium best suited to produce the preferred effects and conform to reproduction requirements. Graphic Artists shall listen and work with analysts to make recommendations that assist illustrating key themes in graphical format. They will quickly grasp complex topics, identify main themes, and while using imagination, deliver high-quality content for the intended audience in text and pictures. Contractor Graphic Artists will analyze information and determine the clearest and most logical way to graphically communicate information for greatest comprehension and will generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions while meeting with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or minimum four (4) years of experience working in a professional environment in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite or Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with graphic design and layout.
  • Knowledge of the DoD and Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Experience in data visualization and a DoD environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The position is contingent upon candidate’s ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements.
