As an Intelligence Analyst at Rhombus, you will create impactful intelligence assessments on topics including foreign military activities, weapons development, regional conflicts, and country stability to support U.S. and Allied national security decision making. Analysts will fuse Rhombus’s unique, AI-derived data with a spectrum of open-source information to create these products. Our Intelligence Analysts routinely perform thorough research and analysis on global security topics guided by client intelligence needs. The outputs from these efforts are primarily conveyed through intelligence assessments written in accordance with U.S. Intelligence Community standards, however, analysts also deliver tailored briefings for internal and external audiences on topics in their areas of responsibility. Candidates must excel at collaborative work and must exhibit strong interpersonal skills, as all team efforts depend on working closely within the intelligence team and with other cross-functional teams. Candidates should be able to provide and receive feedback that enhances overall team outputs. Successful candidates will be solution-oriented self-starters who are tech savvy, can identify problems and opportunities, and propose solutions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ability to multitask and prioritize efforts are crucial due to the pace of global events and the sometimes rapidly evolving needs of our clients. We are seeking a candidate with subject matter expertise in the Asia Pacific region, preferably with experience in a military or government intelligence environment. The ideal candidate will have significant knowledge of Chinese military capabilities, weapons systems, and tactics, with a particular focus on China’s maritime operations and territorial claims in the South China Sea. Candidates must have strong writing skills and be capable of producing a high volume of quality analytic assessments under tight deadlines and with minimal review. A writing sample will be requested as part of your application for this role and is a requirement for consideration. All writing samples must be your own work and ideally will have been produced within the last 3 years. The sample should be between one and three pages in length and assess a geopolitical or international security-related topic.
