About The Position

Play a pivotal role in bridging technical innovation with strategic Intellectual Property (IP) management. Utilize mechanical engineering principles and practices to investigate technical information and knowledge based infrastructure. Responsible for resolving complex issues and documenting outcomes to support continuous improvement. Design and refine processes that support Engineering Standard Work (ESW), New Product Introduction (NPI), change management and data repositories. Tailor these processes to meet the evolving needs of technical practitioners within the technical function and ensure the delivery of high-quality invention disclosures and patent documentation. Collaborate closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to obtain input and negotiate to deliver new and revised processes and tools that enhance the organization’s IP capabilities. Modify standardized work processes, tasks, and tools to support product development, process improvement, and technical innovation. Diagnose and resolve IP-related issues that arise from troubleshooting complex systems, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and business objectives. Contribute to the planning and evaluation of new technologies and systems, assessing their feasibility, sustainability, and potential for IP protection using knowledge of Requirements Analysis. Evaluate the relationships and interdependencies of technical and IP requirements to support prioritization and strategic decision-making. Act as a key liaison between engineering and legal functions, to help implement operating procedures, resolve technical-IP conflicts, and provide expert guidance. Asses, validate and propose IP solutions that will ensure technical and IP knowledge is captured, organized, and accessible through effective knowledge management practices and processes in order to enable informed decision-making and support the long-term success of the organization’s innovation strategy.
